Timing of the Chain S/P ROCKET replacement was used to change the Chain from the standard 428 Size to 520 Size. This product exists because SEROW's Sprocket is a little special, but it looks more custom than NORMAL. There is a similar product, PCD by XAM, but since we chose SUNSTAR for the Sprocket, we somehow avoided products from competing manufacturers, and as a result, we chose DRC's product. (Process of elimination) Perhaps XAM would be JAPAN and the quality is better than DRC. That said, I do not feel that the quality of this product is particularly inferior. I guess the point is a matter of taste. I also prefer the appearance of this one.
As for the assembly, those who have experience in replacing Sprocket should be able to work on it without any problems. I have no problem with the accuracy of the hole position etc. without any wobble, although the quality is mentioned in ↑.
Since the OEMSprocket of SEROW is quite expensive, it is possible to use other brand products or other models (SRXetc.) which are inexpensive from the next exchange, and 520Size which has many choices of chain can be used. However, considering the replacement span, we may not be able to say that it is cost-effective. However, it looks better now that Parenthesis has been improved.
I bought this to convert the Chain size of my SEROW250 from OEM 428 to 520. Because the circumference of the bolt hole is cut, it does not overlap with the Sprocket hole, so it looks refreshing and light. The dark Silver or rather light Gun meta color has a high quality and the accuracy when installing was not a problem.
There may be an error because it is an actual measurement by Caliper that I have, but the color of OEMSprocket (Between Sprocket teeth and Wheel hub) was 9.6mm thick and the tooth was 7mm thick. The thickness of the part corresponding to the collar of this product is 10.0mm, and it is the same as the thickness of the part for MC41 attached together. (Steel at 520Size) teeth is 6mm. Made by ISA (Material with Size for 428):The thickness of the collar (Aluminum) was 10.5mm and the teeth were 7.3mm, so the thickness differs slightly depending on the product! (Internal LINK width of Chain is 7.94mm for 428 and 6.35mm for 520) 。
If you want to replace the Stud bolt by yourself, please note that the Stud bolt on the hub side is prone to trouble.View Detail
DRC Dura Rear sprocket (45T) I bought the Adapter with the SpacerDamper and put it on my SEROW250. The distance from the hub will be small if you install the Sprocket andAdapter as shown in the movie. I put the washer between the Wheel and SprocketAdapter. After the installation, it looks like the chain is straight and slightly left. Next time when I remove the Wheel, I will take off the Washer.View Detail
